BUTWAL "THE OLD CITY"

The originate of this Butwal Municipality is Butwal Bazaar which now called is (Purano Butauli Bazaar). Old Butwal bazaar lies on the other bank of Tinau River. We can find Ganesh mandir .In Hinduism people worship the Ganesh before they prey other god and goddess. Passing narrow streets and small houses there we come to the Buddhist Monastery Padma Chaitya Vihar. The legend says that this monastery was built by two traders from Kathmandu 100 years ago. On the auspicious day of Buddha Jayanti holy monks from Nepal, Bhutan, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Thailand, India and many other countries visit this Vihar to deliver their holy messages. Then we come underneath to the east and west high way. There we find Masjid (Mosque) near that bridge where the Muslim regime worships for their Allah.
